About me

I’m Dhi Ferrari (pronounced D Ferrari btw 😅), aka Diego Ferrari.

I started studying culinary in a French culinary school when I was 17 years old. After the graduation I started a postgraduate degree in Italian culinary and at the age of 21 I decided to open my first business: my very own culinary school, where I was able to teach pastry and cakes for over 2000 students during 7 years. I also had a Pastry Shop for 3 years where I had the opportunity to show my cakes for beyond my students.

With the Pastry Shop I was elected the third best chef and the fourth best pastry in my city, a city with a population more than 500k. Fun fact: I won a Pastry Reality Show in Brazil in 2015.

In 2018 I decided to take a break from my really busy life (culinary school, pastry shop and teacher in an university) and came to New Zealand to stay for a while with my brother who was living here for 4 years at that point. After a year here I realised I was a new Dhi Ferrari and decided to stay longer, I decided to make new plans for my life which didn’t include going back to Brazil.

In Christchurch I worked in some very well known places: Sweet Soul Patisserie and Le Panier with French style desserts and currently I’m improving my chocolate skills working for She Universe Chocolates (the place with the best hot chocolate).

Now, with my creative mind and nonstop personality I’m giving a new step: my cakes. I hope you enjoy it
